About
Flats fishing is a very specialized type of fishing - both challenging and rewarding. If you are unsure whether our flats boat or one of our larger options is the best for you, please call us and we'll be happy to discuss the various aspects of different boats and fishing options. (We can fly fish off all 4 of our boats).
Roccus is a brand new 18' Hell's Bay flats skiff, which some of us affectionately refer to as the Porsche. She is is perfectly designed for flats fishing and other shallow water areas. From the elevated poling platform above the engine, the captain will maneuver Roccus throughout the flats and shorelines of the West End in search for the many stripers that crowd our waters. During our season, we occasionally encounter inclement weather that forces us off of the flats. Unlike in many fishing locations, Nantucket offers great fishing in most conditions. With the versatility and range Roccus gives us, we can put our anglers on fish in various conditions.
What to Bring
You are more than welcome to bring any fishing equipment you like, but all of our boats carry top of the line equipment for both fly and spin fishers.

Additional things to bring that may improve your experience include:
Sunglasses (polarized lenses if possible)
Camera
Sun-Block
Non-marking shoes - if possible. No worries if not.
Jacket (We provide heavy foul weather gear, but your own may be more comfortable. Always bring extra layers for any trip on the water.)
Snacks - be careful leaving any food near Captain Jason.
