Tarpon Fishing is usually recommended in the evening time, with the ideal time of year ranging from late spring and throughout the summer. This trip provides a great opportunity to catch big fish with light tackle. While fishing for tarpon you get a fantastic view of sunset in the Keys while you fish into the night. A tarpon trip is usually recommended from 4pm to 8pm.

Meet the Captain: Captain Jim Hendrix
Born and raised in south Florida he began fishing before he could walk. At just 12 years of age, Jim started coming down to Bud n’ Mary’s Marina to learn the tricks of the trade in the fishing world. He got his first job with Captain Paul Ross on the Relentless at 17, and quickly earned his captains license a year later. He continued working for Captain Paul for 13 years, taking a short interim in between to work for Captain Jimmy David on the L&H in Key Biscayne for 2 years. Captain Jim is experienced in various types of fishing and techniques as he has traveled the world. He has joined numerous tournaments during his fishing career and has been a part of some of the best teams which allowed him to earn a lot of proud titles in his career.
