About
Backcountry and shallow water fly fishing / light tackle spin fishing charters in the Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island Sound, Matlacha and Caloosahatchee river waterways. These areas offer some of the best fishing Southwest Fl has to offer. This area includes Fort Myers, Fort Myers beach, Sanibel and Captiva. I offer a wide variety of fishing charters, whether we’re poling in 7 inches of water for redfish, sight casting big snook in 1-2ft of water, or chasing tarpon in 10-15ft of water, Fishinghobbytoo charters covers all types of fishing. All levels of fisherman can be accommodated. This can range from the novice fishermen to the very experienced. There are many ways to catch fish around here that do not require much skill- for the beginners. My typical fishing charter includes 1-3 anglers fishing a 1/2, 3/4 or full day. Fishing licences are not required, I have one that covers you. This is a “have fun” no pressure type of fishing, I will be instructing you at the best of my ability without yelling. As your guide I can promise you that I will give the best of my ability effort to catch as many fish as possible.

As a 2nd generation professional guide in the area I've been born and raised in the waters that I now work in. Starting at the age of 2 I have been running around Pine island sound, Caloosahatchee River and San Carlos Bay chasing Snook, Redfish and Tarpon. Ive devoted my entire life to chasing these fish and putting my clients on fish of a lifetime. Although my main species to target are Tarpon, Snook and redfish I do target species such as Permit, gag grouper, Snapper, Cobia and tripletail. Depending on time of the year and weather, my targeted species are always alternating. Typically I fish in 2-6ft of water chasing Redfish and snook. Tarpon can be anywhere in-between 4-20ft of water. Near shore wrecks hold giant Permit and gag grouper. Fishinghobbytoo covers just about any kind of fishing from back bay all the way out to 9 miles offshore.
