Come test your muscles and stamina with the world’s greatest fish. Either during the day on the bottom with an electric reel setup, at night with rod and reel, or do a combination of both day and night with a half and half charter.

The Boat
The Native Son is a 2011 32 SeaVee with twin 300 Mercury Verados. She provides a very stable 360 degree fishing platform that everyone will appreciate. The three large bait wells will keep even the most fragile baits alive for a day of fishing. The boat is large enough to carry six people to the fish, though three to four is recommended. This makes it more likely for everyone to get in on the action. The Native Son sports a state of the art electronics package including stereo system with an iPod hookup so feel free to bring your choice of music.

Trip Information
We offer half and full day live baiting trips with flexibility as to when we leave the dock. We also offer day and night swordfish trips, as well as combination half day and half night trips. The boat will provide all necessary licensing, tackle, bait, fish ice and drink ice (in separate coolers) that we will need for the trip. It is recommended that you bring any food or drinks that you desire. Sunglasses a hat and sunscreen are also good ideas. We are more than happy to share in our techniques as much as you would like, so don’t hesitate to get involved in the deployment of the spread.

Captain Art Sapp of the Native Son sport fishing/charter boat is truly a native son. As a seventh generation Floridian he has spent his entire life fishing the waters of South Florida. With many tournament wins on his record, he has proven his ability to catch fish. He specializes in live baiting, be it under a kite or on the bottom, for the great variety of fish that South Florida has to offer.
