Redfish are plentiful all year long, ranging from small "puppy drums" to gladiator "bull reds." Trout are available most of the year with night trips during the summer months. Large jacks, sharks, flounder, and many others are also often caught. SC is home to the biggest Bonnet Head Sharks in the world and these make a great summertime sportfishing target.
Climb aboard our 22 foot Sterling Flats Boat equipped with a 250 hp Yamaha motor. Outfitted with only the best Charleston inshore fishing and safety equipment, Flat Spot charters takes pride in using Penn Fishing Gear, Spiderwire Ultracast braid, and Bomber Saltwater Grade artificial Lures when possible. As a native South Carolinian, fishing was imminent for Capt Jamie Hough of Redfish Mafia Charters in Charleston SC. In 1995, as a freshman studying Biology and Psychology at the College Of Charleston, Jamie began spending summers as a mate and later Capt. on boats at the world famous Bud-N-Mary's Marina in Islamorada, Fl. This led to a life of traveling and billfishing for months at a time. When back in Charleston, his inshore charter business began to thrive.
Now, almost 21 years later, Capt. Jamie Hough is either in Charleston chasing redfish and trout for charters on his Redfish Mafia pro team boat, or traveling all over the East and Gulf Coasts for Pro Redfish Tournaments as part of Team Redfish Mafia. Capt. Hough has numerous TV shows under his belt and several feature articles in publications such as Sport Fishing Magazine, SC Sportsman, and SC Game And Fish.
