Islamorada, Florida6-9 years of experience

I’m a young, full-time backcountry guide out of Angler House Marina in Islamorada, Florida. I fish out of a 2014 Maverick HPX 17V with a 70 HP Yamaha. Florida Bay and the Everglades served as my backyard when I was growing up. I grew up in Key Largo and got my first boat when I was 11 (an 11’ Boston Whaler), I took that boat everywhere. My burning passion for flats fishing and guiding started growing from the first day I took my Whaler into Florida Bay. I started taking neighbors fishing on the weekends when I was 12, in exchange for gas money which then turned into fishing every local back country tournament my friends and I could afford. We dominated the Juniors divisions! I started my guiding business 3 years ago, the best decision I’ve ever made. Nothing can compare to the gratification of guiding anglers of all ages and skill levels to fish of all different species, tarpon, redfish, snook, bonefish, permit to name a few! Whether fly fishing or spin fishing with artificials or bait, I can’t pick a favorite. I love it all and enjoy teaching both. I’ve been very lucky to begin to establish a great business of repeat customers but I’m always looking for new clients/friends. I enjoy building a relationship with my clients and look forward to fishing them year after year, watching their skill level grow and helping them make their dreams come true. Dissecting the tides, wind direction, water temperature, and many more variables and then finding fish with this knowledge is where I get my satisfaction. I can never learn enough about the environment and fishery I get to experience every day. Guiding is my passion and I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love every day.
