My name is Sainy Taha, and I’m a Fly Fishing Guide from Englewood, FL.
Fishing has always been in my blood. My father began taking my brother and I down to our local jetty at the age of 4. We caught snook and redfish almost daily, jumping the occasional tarpon. When we couldn’t fish, we would skimboard or surf. Since then my addiction to saltwater fishing has grown tremendously. Sight fishing came along, which led me to pick up a fly rod in my teenage years. The opportunities when you put both of those together are endless. Now at age 32, I love chasing tarpon with a fly rod every day possible.
Tarpon on a fly rod is not easy by any means. These fish are BUILT TO WIN. That is why I have made it my goal to help and show people our beautiful fishery and more importantly, tarpon on fly. My 10 years of experience and studying these fish day in and day out helps tremendously. I do my best to connect with my clients and build a relationship that can last a life time. I always like to give back someway to let them know that I appreciate them for letting me guide them to an unforgettable experience in Boca Grande.

Captain Sainy Taha is hands-down the best fly fishing guide I have ever had the pleasure of sharing a boat with! I had legitimate casting opportunities at Tarpon all day long. My buddies and I have already planned our next trip with him.

Captain Taha is the finest fly fishing guide I have personally had the pleasure to fish with. I have been fortunate enough to fly fish extensively with captains in Louisiana, and the Florida Panhandle. Sainy Taha is the best Captain I’ve shared a boat with. He’s positive, energetic, and passionate about the fish, and his fishery. He is fun and a world class host. He’s an amazing coach/teacher, instructing his anglers on the technical aspects of casting and presenting to fish. Capt. Taha cares about his anglers, and shows his excitement, but is not rude or condescending as many other Tarpon guides have the reputation of behaving…. I fished a full day in prime Tarpon season with Capt. Taha. We had to make adjustments all day long, fighting other boats, tough conditions etc. Despite this, I saw more tarpon and had more excellent shots at fish in one day, than I had in 4 previous tarpon trips combined. Despite botched presentations and casts, I was still able to connect and get multiple jumps out of a quality fish. I cannot wait to tarpon fish with Captain Taha again.
