An Introduction to Alaska's Saltery Lake Lodge

Nestled in the remote wilderness of Alaska, Saltery Lake Lodge is a hidden gem that boasts world-class salmon and trout fishing. Situated on Kodiak Island – accessible only by float plane – the charming fishing lodge is located just steps from the shores of beautiful Saltery Lake and is surrounded by four productive salmon rivers. These waters are home to a variety of freshwater game fish – from Sockeye, Silver, Chum, and Pink salmon to Dolly Varden, rainbow trout and steelhead. Capt. Tyler Bowman, a Charleston, SC native and fishing guide, will host you on your five-day expedition chasing these fish across breathtaking Alaskan landscapes. Tyler has spent the past six years traveling to and fishing Kodiak Island, and he is thrilled to return to one of his favorite freshwater fishing destinations with a select group of anglers.
