Private trip guided by Capt. W. Cochran

Amelia on Fly 6-9 years of experience

About

8-hour epicness. The Lowcountry is most notable for its fields of Spartina grass accompanied by mud flats with scattered oyster formations, hosting your more commonly targeted species such as redfish, black drum, and sheepshead. Cruising sharks of these shallow flats are just an added bonus. Traveling farther back into the estuaries, where freshwater and saltwater meet, we will have a mixed bag of inshore offerings as well as the periodic striped bass, along with various sub-species of largemouth. Observing this transition is an experience. Dedicated endeavors inland will focus on the lightest tackle and an array of panfish with the likeliness of landing a bowfin or bass in the mix. In this case, it is strictly freshwater outlets, but the opportunity offers a beautiful chance to immerse yourself in a unique environment of lush cypress tree formations and associated flora and fauna.
