In the fall and winter months, Capt. Brett targets Redfish along the shallow tidal marshes of Florida's beautiful "forgotten coast". The Apalachicola River has created the most fertile estuary in North West Florida, and there's no better time to chase redfish than September through December. During this time of the year, it's a common sight to see bull reds tailing and chasing shrimp along the exposed mud flats at low tides. Jump on board Brett's Hell's Bay and spend the day exploring the Apalachicola backcountry waters for an unforgettable experience and memories that will last a life time.
Exact meeting location will be discussed after booking.

Brett is one of the most reputable fly fishing guides in the Apalachicola region. For Brett, growing up in Apalachicola afforded him an enormous amount of fishing opportunities. At the age of 16, Brett entered every redfish tournament he could find and quickly climbed to the top of the podiums and gained the respect of the older guides in the region. Known for his outrageous charisma and unfiltered banter, there’s never a dull moment with Brett. He’s the unofficial mayor of Apalachicola and has never met someone he doesn’t know. Brett consistently lands 120+ pound tarpon from May-August. In the fall and winter months (September - December) he switches gears to redfish, and takes the winters off to bowhunt for pigs and whitetails. He’s an advocate for the local fishery and is involved with CCA on local reintroduction of native redfish to the region. Young at heart, Brett is wise beyond his years. He continues to learn and adapt to the constant changes that a guide endures.
