Born and raised in Blacksburg, Virginia, I have been fishing the New River Valley all my life. I specialize in Western and Central Virginia waters including but not limited to the New, James, Jackson, Maury, and Cowpasture Rivers. I run mostly float trips out of rafts/driftboats but enjoy fishing smaller wadeable waters as well. I guide for Wesley Hodges Fly Fishing and Bird Hunting located in Eagle Rock, Virginia for smallmouth, musky, trout, striper, and walleye. I attended Radford University studying Recreation, Parks, and Tourism and am very in touch with many of the outdoor recreation opportunities within our area.

Fished with Brady and his Dad on a 4 person charter that included two full days floating the upper James River targeting Musky. We faced challenging conditions that included tempts in the teens and dodging ice flows but found Brady to be knowledgeable of the waters fished and the species targeted. Having our comfortable, warm lodging close by at Wesley Hodge's was a crucial benefit. Brady and his Dad made our time on the water memorable with plenty of warm drinks, great lunches and camaraderie, something we plan to return for.
