Brendan grew up fishing for largemouth on his father’s bass boat in Eastern Pennsylvania and has always had a fascination with savage eats. His passion for fly fishing for smallmouth bass came later in life after fishing the Juniata River from a drift boat for the first time. Now, he is in constant pursuit of sharing visual eats and high fives with his clients while floating through scenic Perry and Juniata counties.
Production swim flies weren't as prevalent five-six years ago so Brendan had to learn to tie and tweak swim flies through trail and error. Over the years his flies have been in the bins at Schultz Outfitters and the boxes of some of the top warm water guides in the game. His clients learn how to fish these swim fly patterns to trigger strikes from the largest and most educated fish in the river.
Going into his 6th year of guiding tributaries of the Susquehanna River, Brendan is eager to show you why so many people are obsessed with smallmouth bass. If you are an experienced angler looking to chase a giant, or if you are new to river bass fishing all together, Brendan will help you work toward your goals.
