I am a south Florida native and have lived permanently in the Keys since 1994. I began my flats guiding career in March of 1996. I held a private captain job for Tom Davidson, Sr, founder of Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, for 11 years in Ocean Reef Club.
My primary style of fishing is sight fishing for snook and redfish in Everglades National Park, with fly and light tackle spin. I also fish for permit, tarpon and bonefish as well as general back country species.
I guide out of a Hell’s Bay Marquesa powered by a 115HP Yamaha.
I am a patient guide that truly enjoys sharing my knowledge and love of the waters I call home.

Gw is the best. He used to work up in Middletown. You name the fish he’s caught it, he’s good. He will bring extra shoes and glasses, so he has them. I once fished with him and Mike Deruki. He’s a ham. He and frank rizzo won many tournaments together, forget about it. If you want to catch the most pieces this is your guy, pounds baby!!

Can't speak highly enough of GW. Great Captain and a great guy to fish with. My wife and I had an awesome two days, caught lots of fish, and really enjoyed our trip. Definitely going back to fish with GW soon.

I’ve known and followed GW’s career for over 25 yrs. First as a Tackle Associate at World Wide Sportsman were I served as GM for 22 yrs. His knowledge of all facets of fishing from rod building to fly casting is exceptional. I’ve watched him as a firefighter, father, husband and friend with nothing but admiration. He’s a student of the fish, their environment and habits. He’s also very knowledgeable of the Everglades National Park. No matter a Novice Family or a multi world record holder, a day on the water with G, you will be treated to a genuine professional effort and a most enjoyable adventure. He will instruct, coach and very much share in your successes, dust-off failures and keep your positive experience his top priority.
