Originally from Ohio, I moved to South Florida to be become a member of the University of Miami men's diving team. While attending UM, I was introduced to the Everglades National Park, Biscayne Bay, Florida Bay and the Florida Keys, which unknowingly changed my life. After my career as a diver came to an end, I realized I needed a new challenge. I decided to pack up the truck and head south, to chase another dream of becoming a fishing guide in the Florida Keys.

VerifiedWe had a great trip with Captain Dave. He put us on a ton of Tarpon They were rolling all around us. Caught my first fish on a fly in a different area he knew of that had Spotted Seatrout. Dave was very knowledgeable about the fish and wildlife in the Everglades. Very easy to talk with. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful trip with him.

VerifiedI booked a fly fishing trip with David out of Islamorada. It was clear from the start that David is a master of his craft. I found him to be knowledgable, affable, patient, determined—not just a guide but a cool dude to go fishing with. In unfavorable conditions David put in every ounce of effort—poling his boat in the blistering sun for miles in search of nervous water. I would highly recommend you book a trip with David no matter what quarry you're targeting in the Florida Keys.
