Born and raised in Key West, Fl. My uncle began deep sea fishing in 1945 and I became a mate on a deep sea boat at charter boat row in Key West in 1979. I recieved my Captain's license in 1984 and continued to deep sea fish until 2003. I started guiding flats and backcountry charters in 2003. My sons Jared and Brandon Cyr joined me as fly fishing guides when they became of age. Our passion for fly fishing is unsurpassed.

VerifiedI was previously ripped off by a guide (signed papers on him while in town) and then started working with these folks. They are the professionals you hope to always work with. When all seemed lost they got me a trip with an outstanding guide and all round great guy. I turned 70 on this vacation and truly wanted to catch a Tarpon on a fly rod, and I did. Thanks to this team and Mike Cyr. They stayed up with me all the way and I will be back!

He worked hard to put us on a variety of fish and gave us chances to make numerous and sometimes humorous casts. We would definitely recommend him.

VerifiedMy wife Cindy and I had a blast fishing with Capt Mike Cyr recently! He is patient, kind, happy, and super nice. Capt Mike is an expert flats fisherman and a keen hunter. We fished a combination of fly and spinning, literally handing off the rods as opportunities arose for bone fish and barracuda. I had an awesome time catching a huge barracuda, but the best part of the day was just being out on the water with such a gem of a person and guide!
