About
A world class fishery located within sight of Downtown Miami. Anglers from all over the world pass by this Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon paradise on their way to the Florida Keys. So close, yet a world away, the flats of Biscayne Bay are home to some of the biggest bonefish anywhere. Shots at double digit size fish are a reality. Permit roam the flats and channel edges and Tarpon from juvenile to over 100 pounds make the famous Flats Grand Slam a real possibility. Whether traveling to Miami for business or pleasure you owe it to yourself to see the aquamarine waters and lush grass flats that hold the three most famous flats species.
The bonefish in Biscayne Bay remains consistent year round. Mild winters allow us to target bonefish while the rest of the country is draped in snow. Spring, summer and early fall are very productive and allow us to fish longer days. Prime date begin in February and continue into July. The dog days of summer can push them off the flats during the hottest parts of the day but it makes for excellent fishing early and late. We target them on fly or with hand tied jigs on light tackle. This is the sight fishing pinnacle. If you have never experienced the blazing speeds of a bonefish, it is one you will never forget.
Permit - the fish everyone loves to hate. Permit fishing in Biscayne Bay gets going in March and is at its peak from May through October. Although we see Permit in the Bay year round, the cooler months for permit greatly depend on weather and water temperature. If you want the ultimate challenge on fly or test your skills with a hand tied jig, there is nothing like a Permit.
Capt. Chris Adams will provide all equipment unless you have a special rod and reel you would like to bring. All equipment is top tier and maintained to the highest standard. Tibor Reels mounted on Hardy or Sage Rods for the fly anglers and custom built spinning rods for those who wish to throw lures. All flies and light tackle jigs are custom tied by either myself or local tiers.
