Fly or Spin

About

The ultimate hunt. Giant tailing redfish, cruising snook along a mangrove covered shoreline or a gator trout laid up in a pot hole. The Tarpon Springs area and its surrounding estuaries are home to an abundance to all 3 and call our pristine turtle grass flats home. In certain times of the year we target these species in very shallow crystal clear water. This is strictly a sight fishing game and is somewhat similar to a spot and stalk big game hunt, we pole miles and miles of endless flats looking for laid up fish or cruising fish in transition with the tide. With the weather being generally clear and calm its a very effective time to present a fly to these awesome fish, when the weather doesn't allow or at the anglers preference we will use spinning tackle . This style of fishing will put your angling skills to the test and is extremely effective when conditions are in our favor. Join me to complete that slam on fly or just explore a new style of fishing and learn more about technical shallow water fishing.

Tarpon Springs, Florida10+ years of experience

Fishing and exploring the Florida outdoors are more than just hobbies to Capt. Tommy, they have been his passions for as long as he can remember. As a 3rd generation native of Florida, few are more familiar with the waters off the West coast of Florida. From Tarpon Springs to the Lower Keys Tommy has fished them and fished them extensively.

Beginning at a very early age, Capt. Tommy was mentored by what many consider some of the finest captains in the state. Now with over 15 years in the professional fishing and guiding industry, he has carried on their legacies while sharpening his own skill set to bring his clients extraordinary days on the water. Capt. Tommy’s acumen for saltwater fishing has allowed him to win or place in several prestigious tournaments targeting inshore species, as well as several bill-fish Tournaments. Being extremely well traveled, he has fished many exotic locations in both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

However, nothing is dearer to his heart than the waters of Florida, where he excels at finding inshore gamefish including: Tarpon, snook, redfish, spotted seatrout, cobia, bonefish, and permit. Capt. Tommy also specializes in fishing for giant tarpon in the shallow estuaries of the West Coast of Florida.

Wether a day trip is what you seek or to see Florida in a light only a true Floridian can show you, Tommy will show you an experience that only few have been fortunate to witness.
