Meet Capt. Will Robins

Originally from England, Capt. Will Robins has spent his life on the water and is proud to call Belize home. He began guiding at just 17 years old on his local trout and grayling rivers before progressing to the international fly fishing stage, representing Team England on three occasions. During his competitive career, Will helped secure a Team Gold Medal and later captained the England squad.

Over the years, Will has fished and hosted trips in some of the world's premier destinations, including the United Kingdom, United States, Slovenia, France, Spain, Uganda, Morocco, Mexico, and Belize, developing extensive experience across both freshwater and saltwater fisheries.

In 2018, Will's passion for saltwater flats fishing brought him to Belize, where he managed operations and trained local guides at one of Ambergris Caye's premier fly fishing lodges. During the pandemic, he relocated to Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, where he founded a successful guiding business and logged more than 500 guided days on the water, helping anglers pursue world-class permit, bonefish, and tarpon.

Now back in Belize, Capt. Will has founded Fly Fish Belize Charters, combining years of international fly fishing experience with a patient, relaxed, and highly personalized approach to guiding.
