We had a great day fly fishing for Reds, Charlie knows where to hunt for them. I took my future son in law who has never fly fish before. Charlie really took the time to teach him how to cast and work a fly rod. I would highly recommend them he is a fishy guide Tom Horsting

Booked Charlie for 2 days and could not have had a better experience. Stayed on fish both days on every tide. Fished several different areas and Charlie knew when it was time to move and where the fish would be next. Top notch gear and the nicest skiff I’ve ever been on. Charlie was great instructor on how to feed fish and patience when i blew the shot. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I've had the opportunity to fish with a few guides in Charleston (and beyond) - Captain Charlie is at the top of the list in terms of his knowledge of the fishery, dedication to putting his clients on fish, and making it fun. He's well versed in both fly and light tackle. And if you plan to take a kid fishing, Charlie goes above and beyond to ensure he / she will have a great time. He's great at providing instruction to beginners but also finding different ways to keep the day interesting. I highly recommend him as a guide if you are fishing in Charleston!

Capt. Charlie not only wants you to have a good time, but he is also intrinsically so dedicated to getting on fish. I've never had a guide so dedicated to fishing hard despite tough wind conditions. He got me on more fish than I even knew were possible, dealt with some suspect casts/hook-sets on my part, and ultimately produced an excellent and successful outing for us. Great guy too!

Captain Charlie is by far the best fly fishing guide available on the Charleston peninsula. Not only an expert in tackle and casting, he knows the estuary creeks and where the fish are tailing. I’ve never had a better experience on the water and a lot of that comes from Charlie’s professionalism and his emphasis on safety for both his anglers and the species we’re after.

Captain Charlie put us on the redfish. Very courteous and took good pictures. We got to experience tailing redfish on a flood tide. Very cool.
