Imagine yourself travelling back in time to a distant tropical land where time loses all meaning. Where the palm trees sway, and the tide ebbs and flows — a place where nature is wild and its environment is vast.
Now, within that image, nestled between the aquamarine blues and the distant sandy cays, throw in a few hundred Bonefish, Permit galore, Tarpon of all sizes and just about any of the Caribbeans' other dream inshore species.
If you can picture all that, you will have a good idea of what life is like out on the Xcalak and Chetumal Bay flats!
Whether it's the birdlife, stunning Caribbean vistas, or world-class fishing, Capt. Will can promise to show you a unique and memorable experience out on the water.
Our 'Full Day Charter' lasts 8 hours, catering to up to 2 anglers and includes all tackle, flies, Spin gear, gas, ice, drinks, lunch and snacks. Will also provides pick-up/drop-off from your accommodation en route to the boat ramp.
Our target species are Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon and more, making this an excellent destination for beginner/young anglers looking to catch their first saltwater fish on fly, to experienced anglers wanting to go all out and land a slam!

Capt. Will is a full-time fly and light tackle fishing guide and owner of 'Fly Fish Costa Maya fly shop and Outfitters' based in Mahahual and Xcalak, Mexico. He is an IGFA endorsed captain and consults with many brands within the fly fishing industry.
A former England International Fly Fishing Team captain, he now runs guided wade and skiff trips, targeting bonefish, permit and tarpon, alongside jacks, cuda and other species.
Will has a strong passion for permit fishing, enjoying nothing more than guiding clients to their first permit on fly!
