Guadalupe Headwater Outfitters

The guided float trip will take place on the North or South fork of the Guadalupe headwaters near Hunt, Texas. Fly fishing the headwaters will offer opportunities to catch guadalupe bass, largemouth bass, rio grande cichlids, and a variety of perch. During a full day trip you can expect to float and fish 2-3 miles of the scenic Guadalupe river. We can accommodate beginners and seasoned fly fisherman. Drinks and refreshments will be provided as well as lunch for full day trips. When floating the headwaters of the Guadalupe river we will encounter obstacles that will require us to exit the boat multiple times throughout a trip. When selecting a headwaters trip, please be aware that we will be portaging around and through low water areas, rapids, and small damns. While we will primarily be fishing from the flycraft, there may be some places where getting out of the boat and wading will be the best way to fish an area.

During a half day trip you can expect to float and fish 1-2 miles of the scenic Guadalupe river. We can accommodate beginners and seasoned fly fisherman. Drinks and refreshments wi ll be provided. When floating the Guadalupe river we will encounter obstacles that will require us to exit the boat throughout a trip. While we will primarily be fishing from the flycraft, there may be some places where getting out of the boat and wading will be the best way to fish an area.
