Inshore Anglers • 6-9 years of experience
We usually meet fairly early in the morning, we will set a time and place depending on weather and length of trip. I am happy to accommodate to all skill levels, we can learn as we go. I only ask two anglers per day, I will be able to teach and both will be able to get lots of fishing time.
The Indian River lagoon is a great place to see all kinds of wildlife while we are out as well, anything from dolphins and manatee to egrets and other native Florida birds.
I am always well equipped to best target what ever fish are around at any given time. I look forward to getting to know you and have a great day on the water!!
-Cheers-
Capt. TJ Powell
Exact meeting location will be discussed after booking.

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio. My childhood was spent mostly outdoors. I started fishing around five years old with my dad and grandpa. As I grew up, I began to travel and fish, this is when my love for fly fishing really took off. Fishing all around the western US (i.e., Colorado, Montana, Idaho).
I never stopped fishing, but it slowed down a bit when I went to college at the Ohio State University, where I played lacrosse. I graduated in 2012, and was applying to jobs and contemplating my next step in life. A really good friend called and had an opportunity to work at a fly fishing lodge in Idaho. This was my foot in the door into the guiding world. I worked my way up the ranks, getting my guides license, and now I've been a guide for 15 years. The same friend I followed to Idaho, was spending the cold winters in sunny Florida starting his guide business. I visited a few times and was hooked immediately. My wife and I have spent four winters here and now love the back and forth from Idaho summers to Florida winters.
I primarily fly fish, but have all the conventional gear as well. Let's go fishing!
