Born and raised in Longwood, Florida and has a lifetime of experience on and around the water. Fishing has always played a major role in my life, and inshore fishing in particular has been primary expertise. Fishing in the local redfish tournaments since the age of 14, I have always been a very dedicated angler. I am a second generation fisherman of the New Smyrna Beach, Ponce Inlet and Mosquito Lagoon areas. I decided towards the end of my college career to attend sea school and start my own business and have not looked back. I like to pride myself on teaching and working with others as a fishing guide rather than just a charter captain, who barks orders and hands you a rod with a fish on it. When not on the water Capt. Matt can be found either working hard selling boats, as he is also a fully licensed Yacht broker, or enjoying some of his other passions for the outdoors like hunting, working out, or surfing.
