About
I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and was introduced to fishing and hunting at very young age. Growing up, I enjoyed fishing a creek that ran behind my house, tying flies and working at a local fly shop. Annual trips to Colorado and Belize exposed me to other species of fish and the techniques used to catch them. After high school, I began my guiding career in Colorado and eventually split my time between there and US Virgin Islands. In 2019, I moved to the lower keys and now guide here full time. This fishery has so much to offer, and every day brings news challenges and excitement. I enjoy sharing my passion for fishing with anglers of all skill levels and truly love what I do.

Great guide and captain. Hustles to put clients on fish and has solid communication skills. As a less experienced angler, Drue was consistently able to help me locate fish and explain the tactics we would be using. Besides the fishing, Drue is always fun to hang out with.

Had a GREAT time and got to learn some new fishing lessons. Capt Drue was full of information and told us everything we need to do to catch fish. But the fish didn’t want to corporate….lol! Greatly enjoy fishing with Drue for several reasons. Number one of course is because we have been extremely successful catching bonefish and permit which we don’t have in my West Coast location. Also our trips feel like a team event and that makes it fun for me as an angler. Additionally, Drue has a very calm demeanor and that fits my style for having a great day on the water.
