I first learned to fly fish back in Texas with my dad, and from that moment I was hooked—not just on catching fish, but on the way water makes the rest of the world fade away. Water has always been at the center of my life. I spent over 20 years as a competitive swimmer, swam for Colorado Mesa University, and earned a Master’s in High Altitude Exercise Physiology, making Western Colorado my home. Over the past decade in Gunnison, Crested Butte, and now the Roaring Fork Valley, the rivers have shaped me as much as I’ve fished them—teaching me patience, presence, and the power of connection.

That’s why I started guiding. My goal isn’t just to put people on fish, but to share what the river truly gives—peace, joy, and a deeper connection to nature and ourselves. I especially want to make fly fishing more welcoming for women and anyone who may have felt the outdoors wasn’t for them.

At the end of the day, the fish are a bonus; the real reward is in the quiet rhythm of the line, the sound of the current, and the simple, healing magic of standing in a river.
