Fly fishing or Light tackle trip guided by Tyler

Lowcountry Fisherman 6-9 years of experience

About

We offer YEAR-ROUND flats fishing here in the Lowcountry waters of South Carolina. The Lowcountry’s tidal range is five to six feet across the board on a semi-diurnal tide cycle. During the Spring, the sun and moon align again influencing tides to rise higher than usual (Flood Tides) which are very unique to this area. In the months from March through November, this seasonal tide provides an excellent feeding ground for redfish as they push past their comfort zone and into a freshly built neighborhood of fiddlers. Although you can catch fish all year long at low, mid, and high tides, when it cools down things get interesting. The wintertime November - February many put covers on their boats for the year and the water grows free. Fish group up in massive schools which allows for an amazing experience as they come storming towards you. This is one of my favorite times to fish as the Charleston waters turn clear and the redfish get hungry!

4 Hours - Half-day trips provide a great option for getting on and off the water while having enough time to enjoy the rest of your day as planned. These are great for the beginning angler or someone who is just trying to fit it all in.

6 Hours - A 3/4 day of fishing gives us more time to target different fish and to better your odds at landing that giant! This will allow us to fish more of the tide cycle on different ends of the rise or fall.

8 Hours - A full day consists of fishing the whole tide cycle all the way through and can be very effective. Like two trips in one, being able to see the low and high of these waters can be fascinating.

Guided by Lowcountry Fisherman

Edisto Island, SC 29438, USA6-9 years of experience

Tyler Bowman is a Lowcountry Native who began fishing this area on his own at the ripe age of ten years old. The beautiful Lowcountry Marshes have been Tyler's backyard playground ever since he could remember. Tyler cherished being outside immersed in the marsh which created an unbreakable bond with the land. Growing up exploring the creeks around his home, guiding came naturally to Tyler. Many years of poling his friends and family around at a young age gave him an extra edge on the water. After a memorable mentorship and working at Seven Mile Fly shop in the Florida keys, Tyler came back to his roots, to guide on his home water once again. Helping others catch trophy fish on the fly rod is a rewarding feeling that fuels Tyler's passion for sharing what he loves. His goal is to show people the true beauty of the Lowcountry while helping push conservation concerns and documenting the journey along the way.
