Lucky Strips Fly Co.

Come enjoy a float trip on the Smith River in Bassett, Va. The Smith River is a tailwater created by discharge flows from Philpott Dam/Philpott Lake. This unique fishery is home to a wild population of brown trout, in addition to a stocked sample of rainbow and brook trout. This tailwater maintains cold habitable water temperatures year round. Guests will be equipped with all fly fishing gear (rods/reels/flies), in addition of local knowledge of the fishery. Trips are navigated from a raft which can hold myself, the guide, and two other anglers.
