Private trip guided by Mike

Capt. Mike Alfano 10+ years of experience

About

Spend a day on the bow of Capt. Mike’s Maverick HPX Mirage 17ft. skiff sight casting in gin-clear water to tarpon, bonefish, permit, redfish and snook. From April to July Mike focuses primarily on tarpon as this is the heaviest migration season. The Florida Keys is considered one of the best tarpon fisheries in the world and Capt. Mike has them dialed. In the fall and winter months after the tarpon migration slows, Mike switches gears to bonefish and permit on the flats, and begins exploring the backcountry for redfish and snook.

Capt. Mike provides all the necessary fishing equipment and tackle for a day on the water, but he welcomes anglers to bring their own if preferred. Mike launches his boat from the Angler House conveniently located in the heart of Islamorada. Fishing license is included in the price of the trip. Mike practices catch-and-release fishing to preserve the precious resource.
