My name is Mike Turnbull and I’m no probobly known as a veteran guide in Alberta but once was a young grasshopper working in a flyshop like most guides started .
Ive always loved fishing (spin fishing, deep sea, fly fishing ) as a child and as I got older I got more interested in the whole making money while doing something you love gig lol. But at the same time giving new fishermen and women the thrill and enjoyment of catching, learning how to fish and enjoying the outdoors. So with all that put into 1 job that made me want to be a guide .
Started guiding in 2004-05 down in fernie ,bc on the famouse elk river ( great cutty fisherie). That’s were I learned to row , handle a drift boat while entertaining clients and netting fish .
The unique thing about me is that i have fished all
Over the world from Canada - Belize - mexico - Bahamas which gives me a keen knowledge of other types of fishing which makes for great story’s or even advise in another fishing adventure . My off season I run a waterfowl camp for ducks and geese so when it comes to bird identification on the river im your guy 👍🏻 . Oh and big trout on dry flys is a favorite ;)
