About
I fish the beautiful clear waters of Pensacola Bay and inshore Gulf of Mexico. I also fish the surrounding waters including Perdido Key and Navarre areas. The water is so clear and the beaches so white you will think you are in the tropics! Your fishing trip will be catered to your fishing skill level, from sight casting to spooky redfish (yes spooky redfish) and speckled trout on the grass flats to fun casting to highly aerobic, eat anything you put in their path ladyfish (the only cousin to tarpon). Not a fly angler no problem, we can spin fish with the best of them. don't be surprised if I try to convenience you to try fly casting.
As a certified fly casting instructor one of my favorite things to do is take a beginner to an accomplished fly angler that lands their first fish. The joy that comes over them is second to none. Few fly guides are willing to accept beginners on their boat, but I love it.
Oh, if you are here from April - November you fishing trip may coincide with US Navy Blue Angel practice/show. See Pensacola is home to Blues during their show season. Something else to look forward to.

As a long time resident of the Pensacola Area, I grew fishing Pensacola Bay, Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. This experience provides me the opportunity to show clients the ins and outs of both fly and spin fishing this area. While my love is for fly fishing, I've been known to grab my spinning rod from time to time. I call it shallow water fish finder!
I have been fly fishing for more than 30 years and was fortunate to work in the fly fishing retail business for approximately 10 years, which honed my skills at instructing beginners. For me nothing is more enjoyable than watching a first timer to fly fishing (or saltwater) catch their first saltwater fish on a fly. This drive sent on to become a certified casting instructor by Fly Fishers International.
My passion is sight fishing the shallow water flats of Pensacola waters for the likes of redfish, speckled trout, the aerobic ladyfish, and their larger cousin, the silver king, tarpon. I venture offshore for schools of false albacore and Spanish mackerel.
