Captain Perry grew up in South Louisiana and spent the majority of his free time as a child out on the water catching redfish and speckled trout with his grandfather Captain Peter Broussard, “Pops”. At around the age of 11, he took an interest in sight fishing with artificial lures which sparked in interest to learn habits of the fish he targeted. For the past 15 years he has fished for redfish all over the Southeast and uses knowledge learned from every destination.
Captain Perry specializes in sight fishing redfish with fly rod and conventional tackle throughout the tidal range. Other targeted species on his radar include, speckled trout, flounder and sheepshead. Tarpon, jack cravelle and triple tail are more seasonal or opportunity fish.

I grew up freshwater fishing up North, but have lived in the South for about 10 years and was fed up with not knowing how to fish down here. I always viewed hiring a guide as something other people do, “I’ll never do that.” Finally I made the call and couldn’t be happier with my experience! Should have gone fishing with Perry years ago. Not only did we catch fish, but he taught me how to look for them, what kind of tackle to use, etc. my son and nephew had a blast and my father in law (who doesn’t care to fish) couldn’t stop talking about it afterward. If you’re on the fence like I was, I’d urge you to go with Captain Perry and Tall Tides. Great people who helped reignite my love of fishing.

VerifiedWe had a fantastic 2 days fly fishing for Reds with Captain Perry. The second day sight fishing in the flooded grass was a unique experience and really fun. Our guide had a ton of local knowledge of the small creeds and waterways that hold the feeding Reds. We look forward to fishing with him again in the future.

Went out on a trip with Captain Perry today, absolutely phenomenal trip put me on a lot of fish, caught some sizable Redfish and also got a great lesson on casting a fly rod! Would highly recommended Captain Perry and would definitely fish with again!

Started out with nothing but a positive experience. Cpt. Perry reached out to discuss the trip, skill level, expectations, and plans. I let him know that my wife planned the trip and this was a father and son trip. Well Cpt. Perry didn't fall short in any aspect. He put my boy on his first red, 27 inches with a clean release after some great pictures! Our trip was everything I expected, the professionalism, skills, knowledge, and abilities of Cpt. Perry are 5 STAR!! I look forward to our next opportunity to make another trip to Savannah just to fish woth him again. Thank you Cpt.
