For full day float trips we float 10ish miles of either the Roaring Fork and/or Colorado rivers. We will target rainbow and brown trout, although we sometimes also catch cuttbows, flannel mouth suckers, and whitefish. Most of the sections to float are about 30-45 min from Aspen. I work hard to provide a fun and relaxing atmosphere on my boat. Yes! This means catching fish! But also all other forms of fun, music, drinks, snacks, jokes, you name it. I really pride myself on being able to provide a great expirience for all anglers. Whether you are looking to be out on the river for the first time, or are looking to hunt every inch of water for a trophy trout, I'm your guide!
Exact meeting location will be discussed after booking.
Basalt, CO, USA β’ 3-5 years of experience
Originally from Naples, Florida. I grew up spin and fly fishing for bass, juvenile tarpon, snook, and redfish. Learned to tie flies from Drew Chicone at the Fort Meyers bass pro in 8th grade. Spent most of my late childhood fishing and golfing. I came to Colorado for school, but the mountains quickly drew me in. I started teaching golf for a fishing and golf club in basalt in 2019. That's when I realized I was going to be a fishing guide. I bought a raft and started fishing every inch of the Roaring Fork River. After a couple years of wade guiding, and floating behind some of the best on the roaring fork and Colorado rivers, I truly believe I have found my place guiding out of Basalt. Whether it's a wade trip up the Frying Pan in the winter, a fall float down the Colorado, or a sporty upper Roaring Fork spring day in the raft, I really pride myself on providing an exceptional expirience on the river for all levels of anglers.
