Capt. Scott Brown not only is a devote steward of our natural resources, but a big proponent for future angler development. Just retiring out of army special forces, he is a father to two young kids, and a husband to a wife who equally cares about mentorship and development out on the water. Together they formed Hooked on Family, a digital platform with the main goal of teaching parents the right way of taking their kids fishing. They want to educate people on fishing etiquette and practicing sustainability. To Scott, being out on the water sharing his passion and educating others is exactly where he wants to be. He recently has been commended for his selfless devotion to the special operations community for creating a 501C3 (non profit) called Valiant Traditions. Its main mission, to find active duty service members in need, wounded warriors and gold star family members, and take them on fully funded guided fishing/hunting trips. Through hunting and fishing, he hopes to spiritually and mentally heal our service members that have sacrificed life and limb for our country. At the end of the day, he believes that if we secure the future of our outdoors through the very young anglers of today, they will go forth into the future and be the proper custodians our fisheries need.
