Originally from Virginia, I started fishing and hunting at a very early age. Mom was from a big family of Tobacco/Cotton farmers in North Carolina , Dad was from Maryland and along with my grandfather and great uncles who were Waterman on the Chesapeake Bay, there were ALWAYS opportunities too fish or hunt...So began the addiction of fishing , hunting and guns!

I've been a skiff guide in the Florida Keys for almost 20 years now....While I enjoy all types of fishing and guiding my clients too some of the strongest , toughest and smartest fish that swim on any tackle, MY favorite is big Tarpon on fly.....Not easy and requires some effort on the guide AND anglers part but he rewards are high! On my days off I'm fishing! In the Keys or Bass fishing up in the Glades or Okeechobee.....I also guide in the fly tarpon tournaments and have fished many bass tournaments in the past...I think tournament fishing , as a guide , makes you realize that no matter the conditions (seems like tournaments are during the worst weather) Somebody is catching them! So it makes you work harder too find fish for your clients....
