Reelfishing Charters

I’m Captain Danny Latham, a fourth-generation Floridian and the owner and captain of ReelFishing Charters. Fishing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve spent more than 30 years tournament fishing and more than 25 years professionally guiding anglers on the waters of Southwest Florida.
I primarily fish Boca Grande, Punta Gorda, Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island Sound and the surrounding backcountry and Gulf waters, targeting Tarpon, Snook, Redfish and other inshore species. Over the years, I’ve competed extensively in fishing tournaments with more than 50 tournament wins, and that experience has taught me how much conditions can change from one day—or even one tide—to the next.
What makes my trips different is that I personally run every charter. ReelFishing is owner-operated, and I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach to fishing. I pay close attention to tides, weather, bait and fish movement and adjust each trip based on what’s happening on the water that day.
I enjoy fishing with everyone from families and first-time anglers to experienced fishermen chasing Tarpon, Snook and Redfish. After decades on these waters, I still enjoy putting people on fish and sharing the kind of local knowledge that only comes from spending a lifetime doing it.
