River Range Adventures

A drift boat float trip through Grand Teton National Park fishing for wild and native Cutthroat trout. Through an endless variety of water types, we hunt native trout with dry flies - the most visual and thrilling way to fly fish.

Experience the solitude and wilderness of the Wyoming Backcountry while exploring native cutthroat trout streams. Offering millions of acres of undeveloped forest, the Bridger-Teton NF permits RRA through Triangle X Ranch to operate on several productive cutthroat streams. We’ll navigate into the mountains in off-road vehicles until we reach a productive trailhead. From there we hike along streams — crossing through, pleasantly cold, gin-clear water as we work the various logjams, undercut banks, seams, pools and boulder ridden ambush points for native Snake River strain cutthroat trout. Foam dry flies are the name of the game in this unique trip experience.

Starting in the Wind River Range, the Green flows through sage flats and granite rock gardens and eventually through private ranch land as it winds south towards a series of reservoirs. Consisting of trophy caliber brown and rainbow trout, the drift boat fishing on this freestone river can be incredible. Periods of stellar dry fly and streamer fishing can be found, while nymphing is always productive.
