These trips are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and tailored to all skill levels, whether you’re an experienced angler or picking up a fly rod for the first time.
We’ll target shallow-water redfish along the flats of Rockport, Texas from a technical poling skiff built for quiet sight fishing in skinny water. Expect opportunities at tailing redfish, cruising fish, and unforgettable moments on the Texas coast.

My name is KC Burns, born and raised in South Texas, I have been a licensed Captain and full time guide since 2016, With over two decades combined experience chasing fish and waves along saltwater coastlines, I’ve built my life around the tides and swells. My passion for the saltwater runs deep, from sight casting to redfish on the fly in quiet, glassy flats to gliding down clean, waist high peelers at sunrise, and the occasional hurricane swell chaos. Fishing and surfing have taught me so much about what it takes to survive in the salt and between the two, I stay connected to the fish and patterns.
Based in Rockport, Texas, I specialize in shallow water fly fishing and technical sight fishing for redfish, black drum, and coastal species along the Texas coast. My passion is poling skinny water in a skiff, hunting tailing fish, and creating unforgettable one-on-one experiences for anglers who appreciate the challenge of sight casting in clear water.
