Full Day (8 Hours) – The Ultimate Shallow Water Experience
If you’re ready to spend a full day chasing fish across the flats, this is the trip for you. Eight hours gives us time to explore multiple zones, follow the tides, and stay dialed in on the best water for sight fishing redfish, trout, and more, whether you’re throwing fly or light tackle.
You’ll take the bow while I pole or troll the skiff quietly through the marsh, scanning for pushes, tails, and shadowy cruisers. Only one angler fishes at a time, so we can focus on making each shot count. Your partner can chill on the cooler seat, enjoy the view, and capture those epic moments in between fish.
Expect a mix of patience, excitement, and pure saltwater magic, from glassy morning creeks to afternoon flood tides and everything in between. All gear, tackle, water, and instruction are included, just bring your lunch, Amber polarized glasses, sunscreen, and stoke.

My name is KC Burns, I have been a licensed Captain and full time guide since 2016, With over two decades combined experience chasing fish and waves along saltwater coastlines, I’ve built my life around the tides. My passion for the saltwater runs deep, from sight casting to redfish on the fly in quiet, glassy creeks to gliding down clean, waist high peelers at sunrise.
As a licensed captain, I specialize in technical saltwater fly and light tackle fishing, focusing on shallow water redfish where every cast feels like a hunt. When conditions line up, I also trade the skiff for a surfboard, offering private surf lessons tailored to all skill levels. Whether you’re brand new or looking to refine your technique, I’ll guide you to the best breaks around Topsail Island and share the local insight only years on the water can bring.
