Rockport, Texas - Full Day Fly Fishing

An 8-hour trip is a full day focused on maximizing opportunity and learning. We typically launch at first light and fish a variety of environments depending on conditions, shallow flats, marsh drains, shorelines, and open back lakes. Sight casting to redfish is the primary focus when conditions allow, but we adjust strategy based on wind, tide, and water clarity to give you the best chance for success.
Throughout the day, I provide instruction tailored to your skill level. We’ll cover casting mechanics, fly selection, presentation angles, reading fish behavior, and boat positioning. Whether you’re new to saltwater fly fishing or an experienced angler refining your approach, the goal is to improve your confidence and effectiveness.
Texas redfish are powerful, aggressive, and uniquely suited to these shallow systems. My experience targeting them across different seasons and weather patterns allows us to make informed decisions and stay adaptable on the water.
All necessary gear is available upon request. The boat is stocked with ice and water for the day. Clients should bring food, sun protection, appropriate clothing, and a current Texas fishing license.
