As a result it has created a fantastic fishery for us Domestically without the travel to other Countries to fish for these Beautiful tropical fish. The best part about these fish is that we can target them year round in different locations mostly in the Everglades. They readily eat Flies, Lures and Live bait being aggressive predators by nature the strikes are hard hitting and they won't stop fighting until you land them. Our fish range from 3-6lbs with some bigger fish caught along the way unlike their cousins in the Amazon that can reach 20 plus pounds. Peacock Bass are not the only fish we target some other Exotics include Mayan Chiclid, Oscars, Gar, Jaguar cichlid, Bowfin, Chain Pickerel, Warmouth bass, Bream and different species of sunfish. We typically are using Light tackle Spin gear with bass plugs/soft plastics and throwing 5-7wt Fly Rods with different fly patterns. I fish for them on the northern end of the Everglades so great location if you're in Miami or Ft Lauderdale. ***Customers are required to Purchase Freshwater Fishing License***

Flamingo is a very unique place nestled on the southern border of the Florida peninsula Located in Everglades National Park it provides us access to Florida Bay home of the largest seagrass beds in the world. It offers Anglers opportunities to fish for numerous species within a short distance of their habitat sometimes on the same flat. You can sight fish and work artificial lures. We always have an option no matter the weather. I would say that the best thing about fishing in Flamingo is the fact that you can truly disconnect mentally and visually as there is zero development in the Park. Throughout the day we can have countless wildlife interactions with Dolphins, Manatees, Turtles and countless Bird species that call the Everglades home. Flamingo is a great fishery for those looking for an intro to Flats fishing and intro Fly fishing in saltwater. I recommend Flamingo because of the variety of species and unique landscape. Flamingo is about one hour drive from Miami most of the driving is in the National Park.
