Come fish the blue lines of the Catskills with us as we travel to the headwaters of some of the most famous trout streams in search of true Catskill gems the Eastern Brook Trout! We will be hiking up to several miles throughout the day and gaining up to 2,000’ feet as we do it. Targeted species are the Brook trout in addition some watersheds that contain brown and rainbow trout. A perfect way to beat the summer heat!

Greetings! My name is Matthew Sudol, I run Streams to Summit Guide Service LLC. I am an avid hiker, bird hunter and fly fisher. I grew up recreating in the Hudson Valley , Catskills and Taconics and am proud to call this area my home. I was an environmental scientist for 12 years and worked alongside many great fisheries and wildlife biologists on a myriad of projects in the NYC watershed and region 3. I want to give back the wealth of information, skills and tactics to those whom helped me become the passionate outdoors lover I am today! I focus on trout fishing the Catskills, the East of Hudson Tailwaters all year long for walk and wade trips as well as float trips. I have hiked many of the high peaks and beautiful vistas in our area. I can help you learn the reservoirs for trout trolling and jigging for smallmouth bass. Also I have extensive knowledge of bird dogs primarily English pointers having trained, bred and broke them to hunt grouse and woodcock in our area.
