Captain Honson has over a decade of experience and is a licensed USCG captain out of Miami, FL. He specializes in fly fishing and light tackle and guides trips in Biscayne Bay, Flamingo/Everglades National Park, down to Islamorada. Honson works as an IT consultant in the healthcare system which affords him the flexibility to spend his days doing what he loves the most - guiding fishing trips.
Captain Honson targets bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, and redfish. Biscayne Bay is home to trophy-caliber (and often double digit) bonefish, and Honson has them dialed in. In the late spring and summer months, you'll find Honson chasing the silver king. The fall months provide excellent opportunities for bonefish and permit in the flats. Snook and redfish can be targeted year-round in the Everglades.
