About
Our typical three-day trip is a deep-dive into saltwater fly fishing. On a typical three-day trip, clients will arrive in Tampa or St. Petersburg, FL. We can generally pick you up at the airport and provide you transportation to our home base rental. After that, we generally all meet up for dinner and then settle in the house. Once it gets dark, we take you out the first night and fish during the night before dropping you back off at the house. Friday morning, we will have breakfast burritos ready and then will head out to fish during the afternoon. After this afternoon session, we will go to dinner or happy hour at a local restaurant. After dinner, we will go out again for a second night session. Saturday morning, we will have breakfast ready, and then will go out for another afternoon session. Saturday night, we can either go out on the town or do another night time session. Sunday, depending on the time you are leaving, we will either take you to the airport or get a few hours more in on the water in the morning before you leave. Our typical 3-day trip starts at $1,500 per angler and includes transportation to and from the airport, lodging, gas, breakfast, ice, water, and flies/lures.

The Saltwater Specialists specialize in multi-day group trips for up to 6 anglers in the greater Tampa Bay area. Our multi-day group trips generally span anywhere between three to seven or more days. We have a private home in beautiful Dunedin, Florida available for our clients to stay during the trip. The house can sleep up to eight with multiple bedrooms, parking, nice furnishings, a smoker, and a large back yard. The house is within walking distance or a short Uber or Lyft ride to bars, restaurants, shops, the beach and numerous other attractions.
You will see plenty of fish and get your fair share of action. The captains work as hard as possible to get you on multiple species of fish. Daytime and nighttime trips each day allow each angler to get the entire experience sight fishing for the many species that the Gulf has to offer. We design this trip to be an affordable adventure.
Captain Court Douthit and Captain Branden Jones have a great deal of fishing experience around Florida and across the country and work together seamlessly to offer guided group trips.
