I recently did an inshore trip at Ocean Isle Beach fishing for red drum with Captain Zach and had an amazing time. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and was clearly passionate about what he does. I’ve been fishing Zach twice. The first time he took me into the back waters in the ICW North Carolina and we had our limit in reds within the first hour and a half. His equipment was excellent. His boat was absolutely perfect for the small narrow channels. The second time I brought a friend. It was the same result. We each went home with a nice red fish. We could’ve stayed there all day catching them. I think I caught four my buddy five beautiful Reds. Zach is very kind, extremely knowledgeable and reliable. A top professional guide. My wife and I wanted to learn fly fishing as my dad taught me years ago! We contacted Zack and he right away! Which as great! We set up a half day with him to fish locally the first time! We had a blast! Number 1, we caught fish! Zack did everything for us, including help us - two ladies in their 70’s navigate the river! He is polite, so very knowledgeable and very very helpful! Zach was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. With his small, light boat we were able to navigate the narrow channels and find some fish. When conditions are are right he welcomed the use of the fly rod.
