Half day private trip guided by Mason

About

Nestled in the lush coastal marshes and tranquil estuaries of St. Augustine, Florida, a backcountry fly fishing experience with Mason Schilling offers an unforgettable adventure. With its winding creeks, tidal flats, and hidden mangrove-lined waters, this area provides the perfect setting for anglers seeking solitude and excitement. The shallow waters teem with life, making it an ideal habitat for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. As you cast your fly or lure in the golden light of sunrise or under the shimmering hues of a coastal sunset, you’ll feel a deep connection to the natural beauty surrounding you.

Guided by Mason, you’ll navigate narrow channels and unspoiled inlets that only a few have the privilege to explore. The rhythmic lapping of water against the skiff, the cries of distant herons, and the sight of tailing redfish breaking the surface create an immersive experience that transcends the act of fishing. Whether you’re an experienced fly angler, traditional tackle angler or trying your hand for the first time, the backcountry of St. Augustine offers a serene escape and the chance to reel in a memory that will last a lifetime.

Guided by Tidal Land Charters

St. Augustine, Florida< 1 years of experience

Hey everyone, my name is Mason Schilling, I was born and raised on low country fishing in Charleston, SC. After finding my passion for fly fishing in high school I moved to St. Augustine, FL to attend Flagler college where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental science. I have been fishing in St. Augustine's marshes for the past 9 years and picked up guiding this year both independently and for Old City Guide service. I strive for my clients to not only catch fish but walk away with a healthy knowledge of our local fisheries and ecosystems.
