AWESOME TIME with Austin! Met him at the boat launch early, so we hit the water looking for Big Reds! He found em right away, but my fly presentations weren’t what they were looking for. We switched up to spinning tackle and finally put one in the boat. My PB, but still room for improvement!! It was a little nippy on the water and since I forgot my jacket, Austin went above and beyond and quickly stopped back by his truck and grabbed a wind breaker for me. Now THAT is service! Most guides would’ve said, “too bad”, and I’d froze my butt off, but Austin is a Veteran and just shows there are good guys in the world still!! He put me on the fish and we had a blast! Saw dolphins and Ospreys and Blue Herons doing their thing in the wild! Do yourself a favor and call him when you’re ready for a good trip on the waters near Charleston, SC!!! Thanks again Austin, much respect young man!!

Recently completed a five day trip with Austin. Four of the five days the weather , both with temps and visibility, were front and center. Austin had a plan A, B , C and D. Even though the conditions were not favorable, he managed to put us on fish throughout each day. His knowledge of the area , both in where to locate and their behaviors, allowed us to target the redfish. He is very respectful of the habitat and residents along the waterways. Would certainly and will definitely book again. Would not hesitate.

Super fun, informative, and thoughtful guide. Conditions weren’t great for stalking low tide redfish, cloudy and visibility was poor, but can’t control the weather! Austin put me on several fish and taught me what type of features to look for. Great conversationalist, and it was cool to talk about sustainability and fishing. Charleston is really crowded, and he’s really intent on making anglers aware of human pressure on our fishery. Had a great time and learned a lot. Hope to go with him again in 2025!

My marsh hen hunt with Austin was amazing. We had such a great day and got after a ton of birds. He was super helpful and informative on every step of the hunt. Can’t wait to get back out there with him!

Austin is a very knowledgeable guide who understands his water. The conditions were less than favorable, but nevertheless he put me in front of many fish. His understanding of the waterways and personable attitude made for an awesome Lowcountry experience.

Austin and Rosie are the dynamic duo that never disappoint. Austin is very knowledgeable, being able to teach even beginners how to catch fish on the fly. Be prepared to catch all the fish you can handle with these two!

My son and I flew out from Oregon to spend a couple days with Austin and had the best of times. We caught fish, hunted a few birds, enjoyed the boat ride, and appreciated every minute of our time together. He loves his office and it shows. Austin’s legit!

We came to Charleston not expecting to fish, but changed our minds over dinner the first night in town. A friend of mine who guides further south on the coast recommended Austin and he was a great guy. He was flexible with a short notice booking and showed us a great time on the water. His knowledge of fish, history, and wildlife provided an all around good adventure.

My sons and I did a trip with Austin; it was absolutely a blast. My boys will remember it forever!

Austin was an amazing guide! Best one I’ve had in Charleston by far! Absolutely loved talking with him and learning from him. He not only puts you on the fish, but teaches you why the fish are there, what they’re eating, what they’re doing, etc. Great experience.

Fished several different guides off the SC coast, but AceOutdoors is my favorite by far. Looking forward to fishing a tournament with him as the Captian in the fall. Looking forward to our next trip....becoming a bi annual tradition.

Austin was a great guide for a first timer like myself. This was a my first guided fly trip and being a novice at fly fishing he helped me out a ton. The weather was absolutely insane. 40 degrees with a 20mph wind and none stop rain. After missing a couple big ones I was finally able to catch my very first red fish and it was so worth it. I definitely plan on taking another trip with Austin and I’m hoping for a little nicer weather this time. All around nice guy, great story, and extremely knowledgeable about the waters. Highly recommend for any lever of fisherman. He’ll put you on them for sure.

Ace is a phenomenal captain. He's put me multiple times on the biggest inshore redfish I have ever caught both on fly and spinning tackle. Phenomenal captain. No one knows charlestons waters better!
