🔹 Come out on the Jetboat with Captain Sam Scott for a full 8-10 hour day of musky fishing! Whether you’re a fly angler or casting lures , first time musky angler or seasoned veteran - I will make sure your trip is one for the books! Fish Solo, or bring a CoAngler. We are all about the Experience. We want you to not only have an action-packed day of fishing with us, but also walk away having learned new techniques and productive presentations you can take with you and put to use on your home waters. Between the Jetboat rides and explosive fishing , these trips are exciting from start to finish. 3️⃣ We can accommodate up to 3 Anglers on the RockProof Jet Boat. Group trips available up to 7 anglers with additional guides. 🍁 🍂 Our Fall Season starts the second week of September and runs to Dec 1. Fall fishing for Muskies you can expect low clear water with plenty of sight fishing opportunities throughout the season. Top water and blade action in the early fall, giving way to a great crank bait and jerk bait bite later on. ❄️ Our Winter Season or “PreSpawn” runs from Dec through the end of March. This is when our fish are at their heaviest weight all Year and they are putting the feed bag on in preparation for spawn. Your chances of catching a true GIANT Virginia Musky are at their best during this time of year. Any New Moon or Full moon date in the winter season brings even better odds. 🌧️ For the month of April we leave our Muskies alone and let them focus on having a successful spawn. During this month we are chasing trophy 5lb+ Smallmouth. ( See our Listing for “ PreSpawn Trophy Smallmouth” ) 🌖 Our Postspawn Season is during the months of May and June. This is a favorite among anglers for the very exciting Blade Bite. Burning blades to the boat as fast you can or double hand stripping a Fly back to the boat can produce some incredible strikes and boatside Figure 8 action ! Top Water and Sight Fishing is also a common tactic during this time of year. ☀️ July and August we hang the musky rods up while it is too hot to ethically catch and release musky in Virginia. We will be switching over to warm water species such as smallmouth , Gar on the Fly , Striped Bass, and Catfish. These fish are eating big lures and flies bulking up in preparation for spawn and we regularly land fish in the 5lb and 6lb+ class! ▫️Full Day Trip on the River for a multitude of species: Smallmouth, Rock Bass, Large Mouth, Musky, Catfish, Gar, Walleye, Striped Bass, etc ▫️ For the Months of July , August and September the rivers offer excellent smallmouth bass fishing with some days seeing 75-100 fish in the boat. Top water fishing is the Favorite tactic among anglers enticing visual eats from larger aggressive fish. Whether your spin fishing or fly fishing we can accommodate. All tackle provided. We like to start around sunrise and finish the trip before it gets too terribly hot. Or start a little later and fish until dark.
