Had 3 great days of fishing with Blue Ridge Musky. Sam knew what he was doing and put me on some very nice Musky. Will be fishing again with him soon.

I have done multiple trips with Sam now and I would just like to say you will not find another guy more passionate about this fishery and fish that are in it. I've followed BLUE RIDGE MUSKY for over a year on multiple media outlets. The passion for the sport and protection of the resource is always at the top of thier list. Top of the line gear is also a key factor too protect the fish. 100 percent professional attitude with the ability to also have fun with the clients is probably my favorite part. I learned alot about the local wildlife and was lucky enough to see some of it in action. Fishing techniques and care for the fish was very educational too. A good guide will put you on fish, which he did. But in addition, I was impressed with the information Sam was able to provide regarding the of the ecology of the river, biology of our target species (Musky) and overall knowledge of the environment he works in every day. I booked a trip with Sam for my Uncle and I. It turned out to be amazing! Sam put my uncle on a tank of a musky and he put me on not only my first but my second also. Even with the weather throwing every different obstacle it could, Sam pulled through and put both of us on tanks. I was very impressed and will be booking again with him sooner than later hopefully.

Booked my first guided fishing trip with Sam after hearing lots of good things about him. I thought I already knew quite a bit about musky fishing but after an hour on the boat talking with Sam I had already learned so much more. We had a lot of action starting out and then the afternoon was slow but Sam’s positive attitude was contagious and kept our heads in the game for when it counted! Best day of fishing I’ve had in years and can’t wait to do it again!

My husband and I just fished with Sam for two days on the James River. We saw a few muskies, but they were sluggish, and we couldn't get them to take the bait. We did catch a short one and watched Sam tag it for the DNR, which was a bonus and was on my wish list!! Sam's calm demeanor and unassuming personality along with the beautiful river mountain scenery made the two days fly by. We also enjoyed the smooth ride on his amazing jet boat in the skinny water! Spent four days with Blue Ridge Musky fishing the James. Sam is so knowledgeable about this fish of 10,000 casts. I brought my son out for our first ever musky experience and we wanted to fish with Sam to learn how to target these fish. As expected Sam was a wonderful host , a patient teacher , and absolute obsessed with fishing! We had an amazing day , learned so much , AND my son caught his first musky ever ! A big one ! We will be back !

Fished with Sam this during January . It was the coldest I’ve ever been out fishing but so worth it. Casting all day kept us warm and the non stop action from giant Muskies was intense. We landed 3 including my new PB !

Went out with Sam on his Jetboat , he had us on the fish almost immediately and we doubled up in the first 30 minutes of the morning. Ended up catching 5 that day including a 47 and 46 . He’s dialed in! Book a trip , you won’t be disappointed!
