INSTAGRAM @captqdestout The everglades is truly a special place that has to be protected. The only way people will protect it is if they appreciate it. I love taking people out to see what the real Florida looks like. With a variety of species to catch on all different types of tackle the Everglades is like no other fishery on Earth. I mainly target snook, redfish, seatrout, & tarpon on my trips. Fly fishing is also very good in the everglades, though it can be very tricky. If you have some experience casting fly fishing can be the most rewarding way of catching snook, reds, or tarpon than any other tackle. Lets get out there and give it all we got!!

If you want to catch a true giant snook not many places are better to fish than Jupiter, FL in the summer months. Depending on skill level they can be caught on artificial lures or live baits very consistently.

Flamingo Everglades is truly an amazing place to fish with endless areas to explore. I fish the flats of Florida bay most often in search of redfish, snook, tarpon, and sea-trout. The typical trip is from sunrise to 2pm but I also offer full day trips from sunrise to sunset. Fly fishing and Conventional fishing tackle can be used depending on what the client prefers. All fishing tackle is included all you need to bring is whatever food/snacks you need for the day.

Night trips can be a great way to get out and have some fishing fun without being out in the Florida heat and getting sunburned. Snook and Tarpon are nocturnal feeders so there can be great fishing on dock lights/bridges at night. Fly fishing for juvenile tarpon and snook can be an absolute blast and a great way to start out as a beginner or experienced fly fisherman.

The Lake Osborne/Ida chain is very unique due to its variety of species. You can catch Clown Knife Fish, Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, and much more all in the same body of water. If you have never seen some of these fish in person you would be amazed at the bright colors and odd features these fish have. They can be caught on artificial lures, fly's, and live bait.
