This trip spans 4 hours and will be spent pursuing redfish in the marsh of North East Florida. Meeting location is Jim King Boat Ramp off of Heckscher Drive where Capt. Charlie will meet you with a skiff ready and prepped for the day’s adventure. The boat ride can be anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes long. Whether it’s with a fly rod or spinning rod in hand, Capt. Charlie specializes in finding redfish in shallow water. As redfish are highly interactive, it’s not uncommon to see multiple fish on a trip with their tails, backs and even eyes above the water line. They respond very well to well-places lures and flies and are extraordinarily fun to watch and catch. Two guest maximum as the boat has a limit of three people, Captain included. Any and all skill type is welcome but if Fly Fishing, previous experience is required. (If you are interested in fly fishing and have never done it, please inquire first about lessons before hopping aboard the skiff.) Waters provided, along with all tackle, gear and required fishing licenses.

Fly or light tackle trip targeting the flood tides here in North East Florida. Flood tides showcase tailing redfish and sheepshead in the flooded grass flats chasing crabs. It is the ideal time to stalk and sight fish from either the boat or on foot.
